Saban turned his back on LSU and then jumped out of Miami because it was too much work and, we all know his wife wears the pants in his family.

Sorry but i don't buy that. Injuries happened because we relied on the d-line to get pressure and it caught up with us. That is scheme buddy. And all this talk about injuries is just a cop out. Maybe we are a little nicked up but if miss st can stop mcfadden we should be able to.

If you were ever a coach, instead of an armchair QB, you would know what I am talking about. Sorry, but that is the truth.

Who's from Monroe? I'm not. I live an hour from there. And what does that have to do with anything?

Don't get so uptight, you guys can fuss all day about who to hire and why or why not, but we ranters have no say so in the hiring. The higher ups and boosters will take care of that.

Therefore....Carry on my friends!!!

Well, now that I got everyone started with the hire BO comments, I have to go get prepared. I have a Championship game to prepare for this week, so everyone turn in and watch the Tigers take the next step to another bowl! Drink Responsible. Geaux Tigers!

If you knew football, you'd know that there are more than 10 games in a season.

It should read "When Coach Miles Goes", because he will be announced as the UoM coach, after his interview next week!!!

The Wolverine Alumni are waiting for Miles to take the job. Not many Carr fans up there in Ann Arbor........

What about Callahan? He can do for LSU what Norv Turner has done for the Chargers...

If this thread lasts on the Rant, the threats from admin. truly have no teeth (see "Coaching Changes" sticky). Not only is it a thread about coaching changes, but it's a really bad thread about coaching changes.

Pelini? I think his introduction to the LSU starting defense against VA Tech at the beginning of that game on ABC should answer your question.

If Pelini hadn't let this Defense sink into SEC doormat status, I would still think that he would be a bad hire.

Since 1958-59, LSU Football has not been at the level it is today. The change came when we finally started hiring "football" people and Nick Saban came to town. The entire complex, physical facilities, recruiting, style of play, team discipline, national rankings, and of course a title. He left to go to a pro team, nothing wrong with that, he left us in better shape than he found us, he left us with a second NC flag over tiger stadium. He left a program that was in the top 4 or 5 in all the nation. He left a program that a Les Miles and crew could take and move to a possible third NC, 2007. Why would anyone not want Saban to return. It's probably a dream, but if it's possible, he should come back. So he went to Alabama, what jobs were open in the SEC? If he would have waited until this year, two things would be true....Miami would not be winless, but still a loser, and the opening to return to LSU would certainly be there.
