I'd be thrilled with either Fisher or Herman, but here is why I prefer Fisher

Fisher has 12 more years of coaching experience. 5 more years of HC experience....as of today...3 times the HC experience.

Jimbo proven he can recruit top 5 classes among top competition in his own state with UF and Miami, not mention FIU and UCF in the state, on top of Georgia and Bama fighting for top talent.

won a national title as a HC
Won 4 ACC titles as a HC
6 plus QB's to the NFL draft
recruited and developed 1 Heisman QB and recruited and developed 1 #1 over QB pick (JR)
Has ties to LSU as we all know..."He gets it"

Has recruited the southeast for years!!!! (Herman has not!)

Massive advantage....

Look Herman is a great offensive mind, but guys... Jimbo Fisher... if I am writing the 7 million dollar check annually, My money is on Jimbo...AND IT'S NOT CLOSE! Because price is what you pay, value is what you get. Jimbo has massive value

And based on the recent posts this afternoon, I think Jimbo is coming...and if so I will celebrate!!!

If it's Herman I will celebrate...

Herman would be learning on the job.

Big difference between Houston (lol) and LSU

Fisher would be a home run, indeed

He is the safer long term hire.

Herman, if he does well here, will be gone in 5 years

Fisher has always been #1 on the wish list.

I too have always preferred Fisher.

Herman has boom/bust potential. Fisher has boom/basically zero bust potential.

All about minimizing risk vs reward.

This whole deal has been crazy. I think tomorrow it starts become clearer.

Seems like Fisher is off the table but he's def the safer hire and I'd be thrilled to have him.

Yes, I am afraid the SECW meat grinder we will have suffer his learning curve...

I feel LSU is in good spot

Fisher, Herman or O...we will be fine

Fisher and Herman offer more initial excitement for the fans

Jimbo is most likely to have the best success if I am betting man...

Yea with about 3x the amount of time as a hc.

Fishers ability to develop a qb is second to none

LOL at "jimbo developed jameis Winston"

Winston was a freshman heisman winner freak with and insane defense behind him. All those players got drafted and Winston's production declined

Who knows

I am confident that LSU did it's best to get Jimbo. He's a safe hire for Alleva.

No, Gus developed Cam bc Gene is a defensive coach, you mouth-breather. No one has ever said Gene developed Cam (other than you, of course).

Fisher's offense is no threat to defend. His ceiling is lower.

Herman is a higher risk/reward. Might be Urban Myer 2.0, or Kevin Sumlin 2.0, or at worst something like Gus Malzahn.

Also, Herman might very well have NFL aspirations whereas Jimbo doesn't seem to.

I'm a Herman guy, but it's another fair point.
