Emmert and Scott Woodward hired him and both of those guys were instrumental in getting and hiring Saban at LSU. I think he's a young guy that would recruit like gangbusters here and we could retain Chavis.

Now I have no clue if he would even leave the west coast and UW has promised some serious football funding, but this guy would be a great hire IMO. Maybe unrealistic but I would be very happy.

Anyone else think he would listen or unlikely?

Hopefully not I'd rather someone who's proved a lot more. For a supposed QB guru his QB with 1st round potential sucks pretty bad.

Would be a good hire for you but i doubt hes interested. Hes pretty loyal to UW, hes commited to turning that program around. If I were him thou id jump on LSU. So much talent coming back, im sure you will have several coaches interested

sounds really good.

Probably the best we could do this late in the game.

Personally I think that he would be a great hire. Nobody knew a thing about Saban before he came. Nothing. The two guys that helped hire him hired Sarkisian. Sometimes it's hard to question that kind of thing regardless of his lack of head coaching experience. Muschamp is at the top job in the country and has been a career DC up to this point.

Sark is a good, young coach but has basically been on west coast his entire life.

This is so false, it's not even worth debating.

Sarkisian would be a bad arse hire!!! Amazing recruiter and offensive mind. Give me him and keep Chavis at DC and you have a winner, my first choice probably.

You're right everyone in south LA knew about the Michigan St. head coach in the late 90's. Just a household name that everyone expected to be hired. Show me on piece of info from anything proving that it's "not debatable". It's absolutely debatable, you simply can't because your opinion is just as good as my own.

Nick Saban was linked to NFL head jobs before he got to LSU. They always brought his name up when he was at Michigan State. I will admit that I didn't know how good he would be when he got to LSU, but I definitely knew that he was well thought of in coaching circles.

But you're delusional if you think that he was a household name in living rooms around here. Coaching circles is far different.
