Some. Some. Soma?

While that may be true about some Bama folks, I'm certainly not of that opinion. I'm just don't agree that it's impossible for Texas to make a (realistic) offer that Bama couldn't counter.

Some maths:
If Bama's profit is $35m and UT is 60m (random guess) then UT would have to offer him 36m before Alabama couldn't match it. We all know that isn't happening so the talk about UTs money is irrelevant.

I've been assured that Alabama isn't going to be outbid. If he leaves it's not because Alabama didn't match or exceed any offer. If Texas wants to get into a bidding war then they better get their piss hot

quit looking at athletic department revenue and focus more on the wealthy people that donate large sums of money to UT. those are the people that will help bankroll a package.

What do y'all think about the supposed deal with the UT boosters buying of Saban's property debt?

I don't believe that one bit.

You know you're trolling the frick out of the Texas fans with that thread title

I say that was very generous of them.

Well, you're not taking into account the small handful of hundred-thousandaires who live in the REALLY nice trailers. They might actually be able to pony up some cash money.

You're delusional

oh yeah, in that case:
multiply all numbers by infinity, carry the 1, and divide by UTs want.

True. If wishes were horses, he gone on one, with a cowboy hat.

So what kind of offer are they gonna make?

I hope it comes down to a bidding war. He'd be gone for sure then. But Mack won't just leave with some dignity and is gonna torpedo this, I just know it.

It's not about the numbers, it's about being a cheapskate. You see, everything's bigger in Texas, including the Gomorrah-like excesses. Every booster in Texas would write out billion dollar checks, anually, to get Saban to come.
Why, in fact, I'm willing to bet that after a scant few years, the whole state of Texas will be bankrupt and Saban will be the richest person in the history of the world (adjusting for inflation).
