Pretty much the only reason why I never/rarely posted on the coaching changes board or even lurked much was that the dude leading the search for the next head coach of the LSU Football program still possessed gainful employment as LSU's Athletic Director and his supervisor, F. King, also possessed gainful employment as LSU President.

I couldn't trust those two at all worth a damn so I decided not invest energy speculating on who was likely to be hired as in my mind it was a virtual lock that they would frick it all up royally again with another inexplicable hire or actually keeping Orgeron.

A leopard never changes its spots and those two have a well documented history of hiring terrible to mediocre coaches at LSU that never pan out just because they're cheap and don't ruin their politics of budget fights with legislature. Real change and good coaches being the norm at LSU won't happen until those two are fired and clones of Mark Emmert and Skip Bertman have replaced them.

I agree with most of this. A good used car salesman would have known enough to let Herman turn it down or accept it.

Pulling the offer is unconscionable.

Morons and whatnot...
