Chizik's defensive credentials are just as good as Muschamp's. If he wore sweatbands and jumped around like a maniac, I guess he would be more respected.
Throw out the Iowa State bullshite. NO ONE can win there. Bobby Johnson, Dan Hawkins, June Jones, David Cutcliff, Joe Tiller, Jim Harbaugh, and Sylvester Croom are other good coaches who have/had NO chance of a winning record.

Meh, Buffalo was the same way and Gill was able to win there. I think head to head Gill would have been the better hire.

Obviously this is a fact, and I cannot dispute that. I'm not sure he would have won in Ames, in the Big12. TG won in a MAC conference that wasn't as good as it's been in the past. A MAC they didn't exactly dominate, Ball State was the best team in the conference most of the year. Ball State also played it's worst game of the year in the MACCG. With all that said, i'm not saying TG isn't worthy of the AU job.
