Kendall Briles supposedly is being considered for OC. Fine by me. In some folks' eyes he may have "baggage." Here's what we want to avoid. Decision is made by O and The Search to offer Briles. He accepts. Days pass. All of this is reported in the media. The LSU Chancellor (or whatever other political hack that has some say-so) nixes the hire for said baggage.

This scenario can be avoided by some simple (you would think) coordination and communication. Brief the decision makers before you irretrievably shoot your load on the 6 o clock sports, make sure they're good with it.

Simple, right? Executive Management 101.

Some of us are just racing to the finish line at this point! Keep the horrific PR nightmare going until the people in charge of the people in charge decide it’s finally time to wake up, end the nightmare, and actually go to work!

before anything happens, if Briles is the man, there needs to be FACTS given about his role in the rape culture at Baylor. these facts need to be ascertained before there is a blow up. I know Louisiana folks and, like Tennessee folks they are basically conservative and honest people. they will not accept a coach that was involved unless it is proven this man didn't have a damn thing to do with it. there were coaches sweeping real bad shite under the rug. I think (not known 100%) that it was daddy discounting the young womens story and hiding them. son may not have known anything about it. I know if I was a scumbag and condoned my players raping women I would certainly keep that away from my family.

in short, to prevent a shite storm if briles is hired there had better be proof he was innocent and get ready for the public discussion.

personnaly, briles is who I want (if he wasn't involved). this is the most important hire of O's career.
