i know its arkansas monticello and not many people will care, but i just wanted to share with everyone who knows hud. great guy and im really happy hes getting his shot.

He was suppose to have the HC job at Nicholls. Some kind of politics got into it. The committee voted him in, but the President changed it. Glad he got a shot at a better place.

I thought he would have gotten the job as well but I think from what I heard the sticking point was if Sunny was coming in with him back to Nicholls.

I have been to both. IMHO....Nicholls budget is lower than universities with No football. Money is the answer.

Been knowing Hud for most of his life.
Ever since they first got to NSU.

I dare not say for fear of the reprocussions on me cause of my home town.... but lets say we did really really well the time he was with us and he was a young coach.... and that fricker had a nasty slider.

I'm pretty sure he coached at Assumption and Oberlin and obviously Central Catholic for around 10 years, but I feel like I'm leaving a place out.

He was probably the greatest motivator I've ever been around..He could convince you to run through a brick wall for him. He was a great guy to play for.
