The Texas a&m game is fresh in our minds, but what about Ole Miss, Tenn, Penn State? What about all of the coulda woulda shouldas, that questionable coaching played parts in??
When all of this 1st broke I was upset, but a few days of thinking and LSU will not just survive a Miles departure but Thrive .
Game day coaching and personel decisions Miles is terrible at, recruiting, be loved by players, and a good family man Miles is GREAT at!
I dont want pellini but even he could be a better gameday coach, recruiting worries me.
If I knew we would def get a coach better then Bo , I would 100% be all for Miles taking his dream job. As it is, I've went from down in the dumps thinking he was going, to it get be best for both parties.
I'm not a Les hater, defended him plenty, but just dont think he was ever a good fit here!

at this point it will be difficult for any coach to fit in well. look at where LSU has finished the seasons since Miles has been here and then find other teams that can compare. it's a short list

How soon we forget LSU beating Bama.
How soon we forget LSU almost beating Auburn.
How soon we forget we have virtually no talent at QB.
How soon we forget Miles is 5-1 in bowls and has crushed everyone save Penn State in that mud hole last year.
How soon we forget Miles has beaten Meyer, Saban, Tressel, Spurrier, etc.
How soon we forget four 11-win seasons in six years, when we have six 11-win seasons in 100.
How soon we forget, indeed.

Nobody is a good fit for fans who demand an NC every year. That is impossible. If our fans would grow up and realize that one fact, eleven win seasons aren't too shabby.

No shite. This guy seems to like to hold a grudge.

Yea, he's not a good fit, wins, kid make their grades, runs a clean program, The guy has 4 of the 6 11 win seasons in LSU history ! What the hell do you expect ?

do we play to almost win? whose fault is it that we have no qb??
I like Les but he has his shortcomings, this is why I said BEST for both Parties, he gets his dream job, and if LSU dosnt screw it up we get ANOTHER top notch coach.........

Seems to me we've been 'thriving' pretty good for 6 yrs. Sure there are some hiccups along the way, that's just football. How big of a meltdown would the Tiger fans have had if Les had blown a 24 pt lead against Auburn ala little nickie? To 'thrive' as you say I would assume that we would do better. Got a dime that says the next coach won't win more than 62 games, 5 bowl games and a NC over the next 6 years!

I see all this love for Bo Pelini and I have seen nothing from his time at Nebraska that suggest he would win a championship here or there.

I'm def not a win a title every year guy, I WENT to the Miami PEach bowl when no one else wanted too, I went in the cold to Orlando when people were giving tix away.....
My post didnt come off right, I'm deeply torn about Miles, for every negative you got 3 positives. but at the state that Miles and Saban has built LSU up to, we shouldnt miss a beat in getting a top notch replacement.
BY the Way, I EVEN MARCHED FOR MILES back in the day, No hater here

I would rather stay with status quo (Miles). If he can continue what he is doing, we will be winning the west every few years and constantly be in the national title hunt. I cant ask for any more.
His recruiting ability and far outweighs the mistakes with clock management he has made. Although he has had a few blunders, "how soon we forget" the big play calls in big games that allowed us to win...ex. 4th downs v fla 2007, fake field goal v fla last year, reverse against bama this past year and many others that im sure i am leaving out. STAY RIVER BOAT GAMBLER!!!!!
