We would be at a SEVERE recruiting deficiency. Basically Brady would have to be OC and WRs/RBs coach and our WRs/RB coaches would do almost no coaching and only recruit. We would have to retain Brad Davis as well.

Don't really see a problem with any of this setup myself. You can bank on elite WR classes with him, and rest assured that Kelly and Davis/whoever he hires there will take care of OL. Guess the only wild card with him is QB, but sample size is too small, and as everyone said, he nearly got the best QB in the country in his first year. You also have a young and talented QB room with Nuss and Howard as it is, so it's not exactly an immediate, glaring concern.

By all accounts he was a pretty good recruiter.

By all accounts he always said his goal was the NFL and, if I recall correctly, that he didn't like recruiting.

But i have no links so that may just be stuff repeated here.

Brady doesn’t like to recruit. He wants to coach in the NFL. He let a story run in the Athletic saying as much.

I don’t think he wants the lsu OC job.

This is completely over cooked nonsense. His offense was selling itself to the point that he had us leading for Caleb Williams before he left for the Panthers job. If he had similar success in a second tenure, he wouldn’t have to kill himself on the trail to close on skill talent and top QBs. Guys with dynamic offenses sell themselves. It’s the same reason top QBs are willing to stack on top of one another for Riley.

I personally doubt Brady will be the hire, but look at Kelly’s recent track record. He hires younger OCs to run his system in tandem with him. Brady fits that mold, and we will likely hire someone else in that same age and experience range.

Instead of listening to the rantards and LSU media personalities that only regurgitate what they hear from other LSU media personalities, why don’t you listen to the people that actually know what the truth is!

Mickey Joesph said flat out that Brady is actually a, and he used this term, GREAT recruiter, he just doesn’t think he is a good recruiter which is why he is down on recruiting. But he said make no mistake about it, when he talks the recruits listen and he can relate to them and them to him.

I just think it is hilarious so many of the rantards wanted Brady as a HC, but they are balking at bringing him back as an OC - lmao!
