Don’t even realize that Kelly succeeded at ND without being able to get many of his most talented recruits academically eligible?

He had a scandal because an athletic trainer was taking tests for multiple players. This whole “Academic standards” narrative is horse shite.
I’m not saying it’s a bad hire, but this is a stupid point.
