Gene had some good classes in at Auburn and we saw how that turned out.

much easier to recruit to Arkansas than Wisconsin.
which is irrelevant of course. The proper argument is recruiting wisky compared to other big10 teams vs recruiting ark compared to other sec schools in addition to the competition being significantly harder. You're assuming he'll be able to stay at nutt/petrino levels.

His record against like competiton is subpar and he benefits from a much easier schedule. That would concern me. He might turn out great but his record doesn't suggest optimism.

winning 70% at a place that produces virtually no DI talent like wisconsin equates subpar coaching.
that's not what was said. Care to read it again?

saying the b1g is down to negate bielema's record is meaningless since he is in that very same division
again, he's about to face like competition nearly every week and ark fans have nothing to suggest that his coaching/recruiting is what will improve his lackluster record.

Look at Saban's record at MSU and then look at Bielema's record at Wiscy. The numbers don't support your argument.
put up saban's best msu wins vs bb's or their records against top 25. Regardless, saban was a once in a decade exception and you know the odds of him even coming close to duplicating sabans's success are slim to none

yeah he's only won the Big 10 2 years in a row
still ducking his record against the top 25

Saban
#1. The exception to the rule and ark fans haven't proven that bb's big10 record in a weaker era is comparable to saban's in a tougher era. #2. Saban went to lsu and bama both of which ark fans have admitted have a recruiting advantage over ark.

Miles - coached in a tougher conference than bb and went to a school with a recruiting advantage over ark

Nutt - i don't think ark fans want a repeat of this

Chizik - got canned 2 seasons after a fluke year/player

Meyer - obviously couldn't handle the heat and was at a school with a significant recruiting advantage over ark.

These are not good examples and i think you should stop using them.

Who was available with a better record vs top 25?

You keep backpedaling to this but it's not part of the discussion about his record against the better competition.

It's dumb to ask who could be better because no one knows how coarch b might have done under the same conditions that can never be repeated. Having said that, ark definitely didn't get a marquee name. Imo, that says something about ark's clout at this time

I think you should be thankful to ocelot for even replying to you as you were obviously begging for attention considering the five previous posts were all yours- on a thread that hadn't been touched in 2 days.

Sorry you've had a bad day, move along.

He's a helluva lot better than I thought they would get. Arkansas is showing they are not conceding the SEC West to Bama/LSU without a fight.

He won't be going to BCS bowls like he did at Wisky though.

I personally hope he's great because i love how awesome the sec is. I want every game to be huge and i want every sec team to crush non sec opponents.
