Because I know a former CU assistant who would make foran excellent replacement.

It shouldn't be at all.
Colorado was about as bad a situation as imaginable when he took over. That's a 5-6 year rebuild at best.

Didn't Colorado basically cut its football program off at the knees after the Gary Barnett debacle?
Don't they severely limit recruiting and basically self-impose other restrictions? I swear I read that about them during their last coaching search.

He should have never taken that job. Unless they are going to commit to football again, it is a career killer. Even if they do commit to football again, it will take awhile.
He should have stayed at San Jose and waited for something better.

Sorry bro, I don't think even Les is dumb enough to make that move.

Colorado has looked good at times this year- almost won a lot of games they didn't. He's doing a great job there

San Jose St is far less committed to football than Colorado

They are currently making improvements to the stadium and facilities. They have played much better this season. I think McIntyre has them headed in the right direction, and should be fine as long as people don't get impatient.
I didn't think their program could get any lower after Dan Hawkins....then they hired Jon Embree.

Embree was making 750K when he was CU's coach. Mac makes 2.5 million, so the administration is upping their commitment.

Also in the middle of $150m+ in renos to Folsom Field, as well as an indoor practice facility
