Because I don't want a ton of articles written associating my alma mater with a dude who enabled rape by his players?
Are you kidding me? Art Briles would do more long term harm to LSU than any bad coach could do.
Win 0 games in a year? That can be fixed. Stain the reputation of your school by getting dragged into his disastrous career? That is much harder to fix.
Art Briles has implications for the entire university, not just athletics.
