Honestly, it was somewhat expected. He wastes what is a very solid defense with this season. If the Offense could have even been mediocre, Auburn could have possibly won 9 games. But the defense was on the field most of the season and in bad field position.
Hugh was never a good hire from the start but he was a typical Auburn hire. Ive been around this dumpster fire since 1980. It has honestly never been much different. Inconsistent is the best word I can use.
At least with a few of our coaches, we had some very good highs to balance out the lows and mediocracy. Now its just all lows.

Thanks for sharing that information though. I am an LSU fan and have been so since 1964. I've always enjoyed the rivalry with Auburn and I can truly say even though tubberville come over here and smoke cigars on the field, I hate to see you guys down like this. I watched that game last night and looked and felt like y'all's offensive line was about as bad as ours which is hard to believe. Anyway, good luck with the next hire. If that does take place hopefully we can come through the better move over here and what our our stupid arse Governor is

Hiring Sumrall puts them back in the coaching search market in 4 years.
i am very wary of opposing fanbases advising AU on what it should or shouldn’t do regarding its athletic endeavors
