Heupel wouldn't leave Tenn. He has more resources there than LSU. Tenn is setup better than almost every school in the SEC for $$$ and new age NIL. They are a top 3 SEC school money wise and are consistently at the top nationwide in spending on NIL. It's not a coincidence that Tenn has been good the past 5 years or so.

I'd take Drink. He's kind of goofy, but so was Les and that worked out for a while.

If Heupel had played LSU schedule the past few seasons he would been the one getting canned this weekend. Hard no

Where do you people come up with this nonsense?
Tenn is not even in the Top 10 on NIL. Tenn rosters are consistently ranked OUTSIDE the Top 15.
They are not on par with LSU.
Heupel is the reason that have become relevant again.
Why would he leave Tenn for LSU?
A chance to get better rosters with higher NIL spend, in a state rich in NFL talent.
He’s not my top choice but I would be very happy if he came here.

I would easily take Heupel
Heupel is NOT going to downgrade to LSU.
Name one metric that is better at LSU.
City? Get real. Knoxville>>>Ghetto Rouge.
NIL collective? UT has one of the best. LSU has one of the worst.
AD? Not even close. Danny White is currently the best AD in the nation.
Money? NOPE! We are rolling in it at the moment. WE HAVE MORE MONEY THAN YOU!
Better chancelloer and president? Another not even close.
Plowman and White have made the athletic Department at Tennessee one of the premier places to coach.
You are delusional. LSU is no longer a premier job. You are dumpster fire at the moment.
You're not getting:
Heupel
Kiffin
Freeman
OR ANY OTHER SPLASH HIRE!
You are getting either a coordinator, a small school coach, or a Verge Ausberry DEI hire.

You're an idiot. You are sub-par now.
Top NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) collectives often cited include Spyre Sports Group (Tennessee), Texas One Fund (Texas), and those associated with Ohio State, Oregon, and Miami, which are known for high funding and aggressive recruiting tactics. Other prominent collectives include those supporting LSU, Clemson, Florida, Michigan, and Auburn.
Top-tier collectives
Spyre Sports Group (Tennessee): Frequently cited as a leading collective due to its ambition and large-scale operations.
Texas One Fund (Texas): A powerful and well-funded collective that has unified multiple NIL entities.
Ohio State Buckeyes: Often ranked among the top for NIL funding and collective strength.
Oregon Ducks: Mentioned as a top-spending program with a strong NIL presence.
Miami NIL Club (Miami): Known for its strong alumni and business backing, attracting top athletes.

I don't want either, but if forced, Heupel over Drink. What's Drink ever done worthwhile at Mizzou? He's another coach who build finesse teams, not tough teams.

Wouldn't want either at Bama.

The best they can hope to steal at this point is Mark Stoops.
Ausberry gives them a DEI hire. You watch.

They're gonna be very underwhelmed for sure. I mean what coach will want to have to deal with the friggin governor of the state????

They might get an older retread coach looking for one last big contract.

You again have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Tenn has one of the top collectives in the country and it's publicly known. They spent more money recently than TAMU. Heupel is a good coach but it's not for lack of resources. He gains nothing by coming to LSU. Zero. He has everything he needs at Tenn when all you need now is money.

Here is just one site with a very good reputation for accuracy…
247 sports
LSU spends more and consistently has a better roster.

Why do you think LSU is better in any way than UT?
Posted on 11/1/25 at 12:50 pm to Thunderfist
You are going to have trouble convincing these faux Tiggers that BR is not a shite hole and that LSU is not as attractive a job as the corn dogs think it is.
