some elaboration would be appreciated.

Fisher's success at LSU is directly tied to Saban as HC. O's success is as a HC at LSU and is independent of Saban.

Saban does not deserve credit for developing the successful QBs LSU had. That is Jimbo's and Jimbo's alone.

So you aren't giving Jimbo credit for the QBs he developed and the success he controlled on offense, but want to give O all the credit for a roster, program, and staff he didn't put together? I like O, but come on man.

Jimbo and O are not in the same ballpark, as far as resume and accomplishments.

Don't distort what I said to fit your mantra. I give Jimbo credit for being a pretty good offensive coordinator at LSU. I give O credit for being a pretty good head coach at LSU. I simply think HC at LSU outweighs OC at LSU (especially since Fisher's great success at LSU was when Sagan was HC.

If you ask about the total resume' of Fisher, I've already said his HC at FSU trumps O's accomplishments as HC. What part are you having trouble understanding.

So you expected the world renowned TE's and OC Steve Ensminger to out-duel the unheard-of guy named Nick Saban.

I am really impressed by your optimism.

you should try comprehending what you read.

the sentence right before the one quoted stated rather bluntly that i did not expect them to win. so no, I did not expect to "out duel" Saban.

but i did expect them to at least attempt some of the same things that made everyone love O for the Mizzou and Ole Miss games.

attempting to just pound Bama over and over again and 3 ridiculous clock management mistakes are the types of things that got Miles fired.

i expected the stat line to look better than it was on 1/9/12 instead of being a really close match.

go look at Saban's first season or 2 at Kent St.

Saban played at Kent State. He was never the HC there.

so you just ran with something you saw on here and didn't really look into at all?

No, the guy that posted it on the Tiger Rant got it from the ESPN graphic during the Arkansas game. I also saw the graphic while re-watching LSU at Ark. I have already stated this.

Except O is not the HEAD COACH at LSU. He is the interim coach.

O stepped in with Miles' team, which is full of upperclassmen and returning starters, was ranked preseason top 5 and beat a bunch of shite teams that they were supposed to beat. He looked like a deer in the headlights against the one team with equal or more talent.

This is not the same as being a HC. O would not be a candidate at any top 25 job in the country. Why is he the candidate for HC at LSU? He's loud and energetic and he's par for the course with an abysmal record in his ACTUAL stint as a HC.

Don't get your panties in a wad... distort what you need to... but right now the head coach at LSU is Coach O, albeit on an interim basis. He is not the interim water boy. He is the interim head coach. Deal with it. Does this mean he gets the HC job next year? Of course not. But he will get an interview if LSU wins the rest of its schedule
