Eh. I don’t want any coach that doesn’t have proven success in the present era of college football. Jimbo, with a title as recent as 2013, is pushing it.

Even if we forget about Stoops’ 5-year absence from CFB, how many years would he legitimately coach at LSU?… 4 years?… 6 years?

You mentioned short-term thinking…Wouldn’t we prefer a coach with at least the potential to be here the next 10-20+ years?

Do we really want to be doing this all over agin 5 years from now right as Texas and Oklahoma are getting their sea legs in the conference?
