I am sure CLM and pretend coach crowton have well heard the masses and are in damage control. Every one of their statements are cliche and smell of BS. If crowton was really staying CLM would have made one small statement saying so and would refused to speak on the issue again.
I believe what is happening is the game plan is to:
1. show solidarity
2. get the recruits in the house A STEADY HOUSE
3. win the bowl game by removing the distraction if possible.
4. after season announce wonderfull news of crowton finding a new job someplace else. After securing a new OC. "Gee we would have loved to keep coach crowton but we wish him the best" This makes Les a class act in the coaching world and someone you would trust to work for.
5. if you think bitching and whining on this or any website really influences coaching decisions then you are delusional at best. However, impressionable recruits most definately read the websites and at least wonder who is telling the truth. Like or hate the Captain never talk MUTINY nothing good ever comes of it. Have faith in the powers that be, they didn't get there by being stupid!

Well Said. WE should be stirring the seeds of doubt concerning other coaching staffs for recruiting purposes at this time and keep our eye to reliable sources regarding our own staff.

With him having another year on his contract Crowton is only going somewhere he can make more money. That means a head coaching gig or a OC job at a major program. I don't see either happening. If there is going to be a change Miles is going to have to man up and do the right thing.

LSU could give him a severance package that would make up any $ difference. And leaving for another job has a value over being terminated. The money is not a impediment to getting a change done if Miles wants a change.
