Noted also that these days, college assistants are making more than those in the NFL. Apparently a lot more. Freeman, come on down to the bayou and join the multi millionaire club.

Not any of the rest of the world that can get networks to pay billions to broadcast them working and hundreds of thousands will cheer (or boo) their work product.

Not a single one of THOSE people are waiting for that 2k check

There’s not a whole lot of solid info about that out there but at 300k the point remains exactly the same

Right. An SEC Coordinator making less than $1 mil is a bargain if they’re good. Of course he would get a big bump in year two if he had a great first season.

No, it's not.
A lot of the world, yes.
So everyone and everything must shut down? Nobody can make money during a pandemic?
Terrible take.

I mean I believe it was reported last year during the Brady-Panthers thing that most NFL coordinators, atleast starting out were making less than a mil

College salaries have completely outpaced the NFL by a mile due to just complete unregulation of the market and boosters who spend money as a hobby instead of as a business

That might not bring you to the TV, but winning does.

With leaks out that new OC's salary at LSU is around the $3 million range, Hannigriff needs to study up on his math. That's 10X the NFL salary.

Talk was that it's around the $2,800,000 range but it could be $3 million. Especially since the SEC just signed a huge deal with Disney. Money talks.

Coaching in college is a year-round deal nowadays. Recruiting. Spring Practice. Junior camps.

Then you've got the position group of young men (18-22) that you have to manage. Their academic eligibilty. Etc.

So much of that NFL coaches don't have to deal with.
