Should know something soon.
Here is a list of candidates that made the final 14

quote:

two current HHS coaches, offensive coordinator Mike Silva and offensive line coach John Lambert, will interview. The remaining 12 interviews will take place with coaches outside of the school system, including
Dominic Saltaformaggio. Saltaformaggio led the East Jefferson Warriors to a 15-0 season in 2013 that included winning the 4A state championship with back-to-back wins against powerhouses Edna Karr in the championship and Neville in the semi-finals.
Other interviewees for the position are
Wayne Stein (St. Charles Catholic defensive coordinator),
Troy Borne (Lutcher assistant coach),
Brett Beard (head coach at Woodlawn High School in Baton Rouge),
Malter Scobel (Hammond head coach),
Michael Baiamonte (Pontchatoula athletic director and former head coach),
Eric Collins (Pearl River Central head coach in Carriere, Miss.),
Clinton Harrison (Belle Chasse head coach),
Delphfrine Lee (former defensive back for the New York Jets and former defensive back coach at McNeese State University),
Derek LaMothe (John Ehret defensive back coach and former head coach at O.P. Walker and L.B. Landry),
Kerry Watkins (recently retired Canadian Football League veteran wide receiver) and
Jon Laque.

Damn good list

If I'm a betting man my money is on Salt. He's been politicking all year with that Tigers hat

That is a who's who among Coaches in this area...a few names are interesting considering how good they have done as a head coach currently....if they are looking for a young coach to stay a while....I would say either Baiamonte or Harrison....the most skins on the wall is Coach Salt, Scobel and Collins though

Harrison, interviewed last week and told the kids he would let them know something by this past Monday. Today is Thursday and he has not told the kids anything. So I think he is out.

Yea I think it's the same JPL

A few people speculated Crutchfield, but I could never see it working in St Charles Parish for him. He's way too over the top and he's a very arrogant. I also don't think there's ever been a black head coach in St Charles parish for football

PLEASE reunite Salt and Collins...

then start a series with Lutcher

EDIT- Henry Rando posted on facebook about how EJ's principal doesn't appreciate Salt, so who knows if he really wants to leave or is just angling for a raise...

If Harrison is in fact the New Hahnville Coach...than BC should look no further than the DC and hire Stephen Meyers....talk about a slam dunk...and he can maybe reunite with his brother Wayne as an assistant....two class acts!

Whrn Myers interviewed at belle chasse he was under the impression that he would be the head coach. Then Becnel gave it to Harrison. This a sore matter with Myers. I also agree with Myers being a class act.

I know Harrison turned down an $80k coaching job in his home state of Alabama for the BC job and was promised more money and full autonomy on asst coaches and every asst coach that he has recommended to come in from that first year has been turned down by administration. He wanted top notch coaches for every sport and that was turned down by some in administration as well. I have heard he has not been happy for a few years now because he was promised AD job but Becnel who was suppose to retire has not done so yet

Belle Chasse high school's athletics are a joke due to the administration ( Becnel ). Until he is gone that will not change.

now it's down to 6 candidates

Salt
Collins (may be a package deal )
Malter Scobel (Covington)
Wayne Stein (St. Charles Catholic)
Skip LaMothe (Landry, O.P. Walker)
John Lambert (staff)

also now that we know the going rate for a top job in the NOLA area, we can compare how much other schools are paying
