I trust MILES. Haven't we learned that when there is a problem it'll be fixed? co-defensive coordinators just happen to find better jobs and we get a stellar D. Crowton "accidentally" runs into a better job now and Miles promotes a young promising coach. This is why I don't get the rant because all that will happen is bitching about whoever comes in here while really, haven't we just found a new faith in our head guy? He gets rid of coaches with class and fixes leaks. He's the most honest coach I've ever seen and wants even more than you do (I know, it's hard to believe) to be successful and win championships.

Thats all fine and well, but there were very good options available. (still are if they are willign to pay)

Why settle for an unproven going into a year when you have a legit shot to win it all?

I like Miles, I want him as our coach. That doesn't mean I will agree with everything he does.

The option is there. I don't know either way, but you have to try don't you?

So you are willing to risk a national championship run next season on an unproven coach because you have Faith Miles will correct the mistake after the fact?

dude give gonzo a chance because you're NOT changing miles mind if he goes through with this. suck it up and who knows, maybe it's the best fricking thing that ever happened and he get's groomed into miles' heir apparent? frick, idk what's going to happen and it sucks, all i'm saying is stop bitching because you didn't get everything you wanted for christmas. Crowton is gone, rejoice!

I'm interested to see what Miles does with this. Whether good or bad, we'll have to wait and see, but my feeling is that he will go with BG and hire someone to be a QB coach/assistant

Why are folks worked up of internet chatter about POSSIBILITIES?

Sheeesh....have you looked at the accuracy rate of internet posters and their rumors?

Why not wait and see who is named and THEN react?

As mentioned in the other thread.

I think Miles wants more say in the offense for now. With a season under his belt, Gonzalez should know how Miles likes to run things.

Scelfo with the Ties to Texas, LA, Mett and a good QB coach. It makes a lot of sense.

The Florida fans seemed pretty surprised Meyer went with Addazio over Gonzales. Clearly that didn't work out. Hopefully that doesn't indicate that Gonzales is worse than Addazio.

I'd rather a known type A OC/QB coach. It's the only thing this team is really missing.

if he'd been "purposely" fired a year ago, that may have been us holding up a crystal ball the other night.

and why do you automatically assume hiring gonzo would be "throwing away a season?"

it's not a sexy hire but i bet it's a 1up from what we did have, so i bet we still have a better offense and have a better chance at a national title

I am not in favor of BG as OC. He spent too much time with Urban Meyer and the Urban spread is done.
