Eh, that Bama team was living a lie all year long, and without Tua they are middle of the pack in the SEC. Much like AU under Gustav.
I’m thrilled we pulled it off, and I’m happy for the players and coaches, but Nix’s up and down performance was as much a product of Gustav’s inability to put him in good situations as it was his youth and inexperience.
That said, hes our HC until someone comes along and hires him away from us, which is exceedingly unlikely.

That may be the dumbest thing I've ever read on here.
They are the mirror image of LSU. Spectacular offense, mediocre defense.
Difference is this is a down year for Bama, and a once in a generation year for LSU.

Face it, Bama lost to the only teo ranked teams they faced all season long. If they had AU’s schedule, or TAMU’s or Carolina’s, they’d be 9-3 at best, even with a healthy Tua. Probably worse if they’d lost him the same time Florida or UK lost their starting QBs
They were poorly coached on defense all year, and their “spectacular offense” still had a habit if disappearing for a couple of drives every game. When your opponents are Duke and Arky that’s not a big deal, but against a respectable schedule (like Bama usually faces, to be fair) that gets you beat.
I think Saban shakes up his defensive staff and they make another serious run next year. But dont try to pretend they were a playoff caliber team this season.

It took 2 pick sixes from a backup QB, an extra second on the clock and a missed chip shot.
Gus didn’t do much of anything. Hope he stays at AU for a long time.

we been there and done that with miles. miles' only natty had saban players on it
