I think the stats that I posted were relevant to the issue that always comes up. I thought that some of you would be surprised by the stats. Just a guess...2011 special teams was off the charts.

Total offense is garbage: check yards per game to equalize the field. (*ETA - This was much harsher than I intended, for the record.)

LSU was 26th, 55th, 112th, 86th, 87th, 36th, 80th, 39th and, thus far, 70th, since Jimbo left.

In terms of scoring, they've gone 11th, 30th, 77th, 45th, 17th, 57th, 27th, 76th, 43rd and 85th, this year.

It's unfair to compare LSU to FSU, since the SEC is so much stronger top to bottom, but ... FSU has outperformed LSU in virtually every offensive metric almost every year since Jimbo has left.

Les Miles was a 1995 Cadillac, which still looked good and ran great when new, but was just falling apart under the hood. Jimbo brings a 2015 Cadillac -- a little used, but offering a touch screen and satellite radio.
