If you asked me to picture a football coach named Garett with one "R" I think I'd come pretty close to that.

LMAO, so Grimes is the reason Bama continues to dominate the SEC West... someone should tell Bama they are wasting a lot of money on Little Nicky.

I wouldn't mind this. We need an elite recruiter who can also coach at that position so we can solidify a weakness that has been up there with QB for LSU for years now.

Wouldn't be hard to find somebody better than Grimes. The guy has been a shite coach since he stepped foot on LSUs campus.

O-line was pretty solid this year considering the youth and attrition.

Yeah but the LSU o-line has been average to above average at best since Grimes has been there. They highly under perform every year when all you heard about most off seasons was how dominant their O line will be.

I wouldn't be against it either. He's had his time here and hasn't been very impressive, recruiting and coaching. I'd be happy to go in another direction.

Not confused. You said attrition was mostly due to Grimes. I was asking for details to support that statement.

I have no sauces but my assumption is that Les recruited OL and told them your job is to go maul the man ahead of you and when Canada came in his offense wants them to pull/shift, etc. I assume once those OL that Les recruited saw what Canada wanted was not what they wanted they bailed out, but I'd be interested to hear what Grimes did to run them off after recruiting them...

Well look at Grimes’ big OL haul from a few seasons ago. How many remain on campus?

There’s either a disconnect on the evaluations or development once they’re here. Either way, not good.

so yes the attrition falls at the feet of the position coach that recruited most of them. Is that ok with you ?

except Brumfield's nickname is Bruiser and he has a very violent football mentality and has done very well in this offense

also grades were a factor in a few of them.

Why are you so belligerent? I'm just asking a question.

I agree. Just didn't know how that was definitely solely on Grimes. I thought maybe Miles could have had a hand in those misses as well.

The line improved tremendously as the year progressed, so I was thinking maybe Grimes is redeemable.

And it looks like they went 3/3 on last year's class. Obviously we don't know for sure about Deculus yet, but I think he's going to be as good as Ingram and Charles.

Anyway, carry on...sorry to have bothered you with responses to your post on a message board.
