In the NFL. You could say Pete Carroll failed in the NFL as a head coach, but that guy did alright in the NCAA.
I don't necessarily think Williams would be the best fit at LSU, but your argument is very flawed.

Im not saying our defense is the problem. He may have failed in the NFL but look at what other coaches have done Pete Carroll, Nick Saban, Steve Spurrier.
I like his stlye of defense better than chavis' and i think he would be very successful on the college level.

Style wise they are similar, limit scoring, give up yardage between the 20s, try to force turnovers.

I feel liek GW can strategize for any kind of offense. Chavis' defense didnt do so well against offeses like ole miss and auburn, where they have running quarterbacks.
