The visit may not even be for an interview. Mack and Gene are BFF. They're probably just talking about why Satan is ruining their careers over coffee or something.

That's so big an IF it's almost not worth the speculation - but IF Texas WINS AND wins a decent bowl (I would think it need to be beating an LSU or A&M team in the Cotton, which obviously is a whole nother set of IFs) - then I can see Mack being back another year.

Keeping it close won't help him - there are some fairly big time boosters who had enough (finally) after the loss to OU and no amount of wins otherwise will change their minds.
