Garrick McGee says no to Tulsa.

“I have decided to withdraw my name from consideration for the head coach position at Tulsa. My goal is to one day be a head coach and there are a number of considerations that factor into when that time will come. I appreciate the opportunity Tulsa gave me to meet about their program and wish them the best of luck in their search. I look forward to continuing to work with Coach Petrino towards our goal of winning championships.”

No Arkansas will just promote from within. The OC doesn't call the plays at Arkansas.

Internet chatter thinks our current O-line coach, Chris Klenakis, is getting promoted to "OC."

Klenakis has 19 years of Division I experience and comes to Arkansas from Nevada where he was at the helm of the "Pistol" offense that had prolific production and a powerful running game led by the offensive line for the last six seasons.
In 2008, the Wolf Pack offense steamrolled over opposing defenses to the tune of a number of school records including total offense, most rushing yards and rushing touchdowns. In 2009, Klenakis and the offense eclipsed all those marks. The Wolf Pack had the No. 1 ranked rushing offense in the nation, averaging 344.9 yards per game. In 2009 he became the first offensive coordinator in NCAA FBS history to have a team lead the nation in rushing offense (2009) and passing offense (1997). Nevada also became the first team in NCAA history to have three players rush for more than 1,000 yards in a single season. In addition, the Wolf Pack ranked second nationally in total offense (505.6) and sixth in scoring (38.2).

I think we're going to see a more balanced Arkansas offense next season, with a little more focus on the run game. Knile Davis and Dennis Johnson are going to demand the ball, and it will be perfect out of the 3/4 WR, Pistol set where Tyler Wilson is basically in shotgun but you still have the power run option.
I expect this type of offense to not have as many big passing plays like we had with Mallett, but the running game coupled with a spread passing attack with an accurate, mobile QB who has an an awesome group of WR's is going to be a fun offense to watch.

Petrino/Meyer OC is the same as Saban/Patterson DC.
