Done deal sounds like. Liked Babers a bit better but I'm happy with frost.

Just got the alert.

That's a better job than Syracuse for him. Easier to recruit.

As a Syracuse fan, very concerning that it appears he chose UCF over 'Cuse

lol, you think Cuse is a better job than UCF or Memphis or Houston or maybe even Tulane? Pretty much every job in The American is better than Cuse.

Meh....he needs to prove himself and this is a good place to start. He can recruit the state and gain more contacts which will be to his benefit as he moves up.

Frost did.

That brings up a lot of questions on how he will run things.

I wonder if you guys will continue to promote within or go outside of the program to pull someone in. And I wonder if Frost will try to take any position coaches with him for a promotion (like your WR coach to become his OC).

I'd be curious to see if Beau Baldwin would take an OC job in the Pac-12. Probably not a fit at Oregon though since I'm guessing Oregon won't want to change their scheme much.

Helfrich has only hired 2 people and this will be his most important hire. Not sure if this spot can be filled within.

The WR coach came from Duke, not sure about him and what he's capable of.

If any other position coaches leave besides the WR coach I'd be shocked. They are part of the most tenured coaching staff in the country and obviously like being in/at Oregon.

Eta....Baldwin won't be a good fit at Oregon but I'm curious if he wants to move up elsewhere or is he content.

Lubick was being groomed to take the job. I am perfectly happy with that. The dude is a bit OCD so we'll how that carries over from position coach to coordinator.

The DC spot needs to go to someone outside the program. We need a fresh look on that side of the ball.

Agreed, was happy he got his chance but it's time for a change.

Lubick had 3 1,000 yard WR at Duke when he coached there. He was a hot position coach that could've gotten a coordinator job. The writing was on the wall that Frost wasn't going to stay a coordinator. So, that is what it looks like. Those with some ties to program are suggesting it's Lubick's to lose.

I am all for that. We need continuity on that side of the ball. Nate Costa is being thrown around as taking over qb responsibilities.

That I knew but he was the WR coach. Didn't know he could have gotten a coordinator job.

Ok, thanks.

Going to order some UCF gear, Frost is gonna breakout at UCF. Become a high profile coach and get snatched up by a P5 school......
