Jay’s record at Arizona was 208-114 for a .646 average. Good thing we didn’t use your logic when hiring him.

This runt is 100% correct. Is lane a great OC? You could make that case. Great HC? Hell no. This would be a costly mistake.

Y’all are getting soft while you wait. Keep your eyes on the prize, and compare what Lane’s accomplished at Ole Miss with their program history (they’re not good).

Yeah, if anything close to 15mm, no way

We just overpaid for Kelly… why overpay for Kiffin

If the only way to get a coach is to overpay, we need to rethink the program and the people involved

I have no problem with the $15M. My only contingency is that the initial contract should be no longer than 4 years.

Two consecutive large buyouts with CEO & CBK should have cemented the reality that coaches don't always fulfill expectations short term, much less for 6 to 10 years. Hell, Sexton would try to extend/leverage/renegotiate after a few successful years anyway.

Dilly would be cheaper and hopes to put more money to NIL and get some players.

Main reason for me is Dilly's resume:

-2018 Memphis OC, they ranked 4th in total yds per game

- 2019 OC at Auburn, 28th in total offense plus made Bo Nix a player

- 2022 OC at Oregon, 9th raned total offense, Bo Nix transfer there and got himself highly drafted after Auburn wanted him gone.

- 2024 Arizona st HC made the playoffs and played to the end with Texas, with much lesser talent.

i agree and love Dilly but he wont be much cheaper. he made 7.882 last year at arizona state

anyone that is bashing dilly for losing a couple games this year is a fricking retard. Dude took over a program that was devastated by Herm Edwards disaster. They were on probation with a bowl ban his first season. In his 2nd season he had them in the playoff with 2 star players he went and got from the portal that nobody else wanted. Nobody knew of scattebo.

this year he prolly finishes 9-3 with a shot, if byu loses, to make the championship game against texas tech, a team he beat alread. and they are doing much of that with the backup, jeff sims, who was a disaster in other stops.

he made bo nix. outside of his last season, everytime bo was good, it was with Dilly.

would he leave...yea there is a reason he has talked with the committee twice now. but it would take 10 mill min. He will leave because their NIL situation makes it almost impossible to compete. he is begging local small businesses to just name a product after someone.....yet he has an admin that is not all in.

came out this week with proof, they denied a 25k nil deal because the guy giving the money asked to tour the golf facility. said that is not enough of a donation to give a tour.

that is the kind of shite that sends a coach looking for a place with alignment.
