I have read that Beamer was very opposed to VT joining the SEC. He even threatened to resign if it happened. I guess that it doesn't really matter now. I would have loved to see VT in the SEC.

I'm admittedly biased, UVA and Charlottesville is one of my favorite places in the country. I went to games as a kid during the Harris era and remember the stadium having a good atmosphere. So I think with some success the support will be there. They will never be able to draw bandwagon fans from a big city though.

Bruce Feldman seems to be of the opinion that he thinks Virginia Tech will maybe look outside of the program for the next coach.

Frank Beamer had a good, loyal staff, but I'd expect #VaTech to go out of house to hire the next head coach.

Rod would bring Casteel & Magee at any potential stop. Not sure how high his stock will be if the Cats keep getting rolled this year, though. He looked miserable on the sideline Sat.
