you live and die with the coaches you hire. Just ask BK about the lazy hires he made minus Baker and Denbrock. OL coach is a big hire because that pretty much sets the offense.

Yeah I'm not crazy about this hire. Lane obviously knows more than we do, but on the surface, this doesn't move the needle much.

For LSU’s sake I hope this is an analyst position and he won’t be doing any coaching. Just a terrible OL coach.

Why would a guy who has never been an analyst, jump at the chance to be an analyst only 5 days after his HC gets fired? Would an analyst role not be available a month or two from now?

He seemed to recruit well at Alabama, but either bad evals or something. Could never get that o-line to play anywhere near its potential he was gone even before Nick announced his retirement.
