Rhetorical question. Will Les Miles have accomplished everything there is to accomplish if he wins this game against Ohio State on January 6th?

He would have exorcised the Saban demons. 3 years of 11+ wins in the brutal SEC. 3 bowl victories, 2 BCS bowl wins, a national championship, etc. How could you be mad if he cuts and run to Michigan?

Because he'd have forgotten to play the other game on Jan. 7th.

I haven't seen anybody that would be mad. I think a lot of the LSU fans here would be upset if they lost their coach but almost everyone I have ever seen on here understands that coach Miles heart is at Michigan. As for his record, I think it will speak for itself.

I would be mad now after 2 press conferences and 2 press releases stating from his mouth he is staying.

I would be mad now that he has said it over and over again how much he, his wife and kids love LSU and they are home....that's some strong language to just throw out there, spit on it, step on it and walk away! If he turns and walks now he deserves to leave without his Lesticles!

I agree. He's in deep now to be BS'ing everyone. He could have just put it off saying, "I am focusing on the task at hand, yadda yadda ...." If he goes now that would make him an incredible liar and, "Good ridance" to him. I hope he's telling the truth.

if he wins this game, he can do whatever he wants...it's not like a good coach would not want to come here at this point

I'd be pissed at him for being a liar at this point he's said too much to go to MI without being a scumbag. Beyond that I'd be mad that we'd be looking at another 2-3 years of rebuilding with another coach when we could instead be competing for championships. If Saban had stayed and we would not have had to learn new systems we probably have another SEC championship and national championship.

You know, its odd to me, Pete Carroll and Mack Brown and Jim Tressel are doing pretty well but their names don't keep popping up for jobs because they are satisfied. We do well, pay our coaches top dollar, but yet they are always looking. Kinda pisses me off.

I have been a big LES supporter throughout this whole ordeal.
I've always been of the opinion that I would hate to lose him to UM and would be very disappointed if that were to happen.
However, knowing his ties and history with UM felt like it was a VERY real possibility and certainly couldn't blame him AT ALL if that was his decision.

Always held out "some" hope that it wouldn't happen, even when things looked bad because there are so many factors involved that can't be controlled, (i.e. timing...).

Since LES has made MULTIPLE, DEFINITIVE statements in regards to staying at LSU...I would be furious if he were to go.
My disappoint would be more in "the man" than in the "losing a coach" regard at this point.
He would fall from being a man of character with integrity to someone on par with Saban.

If Les Miles wins a national title at LSU, he can become the President of Cuba and attack every elementary school in the United States with anthrax laced with AIDS for all I care.
