the man's gotta eat. no way the new coach can have O on staff; it just would not work.

It's not like Bama's recruiting or DL play could get any better.

Saban would do it to hurt LSU's recruiting. He knows that O can go into La or any southern state and take the best D-line players. If he is not doing it for LSU - Saban's biggest threat in the SEC for recruiting, he has just won a major battle.

Arden Key would be lined up on the opposite side of Tim Williams this year and LSU would have a 3-star rushing the opponents QB.

You are suggesting we hire Ed Orgeron over JIMBO FISHER because he MAY leave for another job.

Wrong. I think LSU should hire Fisher, but Orgeron bolting for Bama is a concern. Jimbo would need to mitigate any damage Orgeron may attempt.

That's completely up to O. I think there's a good chance Jimbo would love to keep O on. He makes any staff he's on a better staff.

What, he's going to take a demotion and go to Bama to save face? If that's the case then we will have dodged a major bullet. That type of fragile ego would somehow hurt LSU sooner or later if he were the HC.

Lane Kiffin went 4-7 in his last 11 games at USC. Coach O took over mid-season and went 6-2. He was passed over for the HC position.

Les was 4-5 in his last 9 games. Coach O has taken over and gone 4-1 and could possibly go 7-1 with a Sugar Bowl victory. If this was you, and you accomplished this feat and were passed over, what would you do? Seems like the lack of loyalty would be on the other foot in this case.
