Firing Miles to hire Brian Kelly

Can somebody explain the logic of this?
Brian Kelly record at ND= 59-30 for a .663 win %. Almost certain to soon be 59-31 for a .656 win %. Four 8-5 or worse seasons in 7 years.
Miles record at LSU=114-34 for a .770 win%. One 8-5 season in 11 years, and no seasons worse than 8-5.
Miles was playing in the SEC West. Also he usually had the toughest nonconference scuedule in the division. For 6 years he was having to coach against Meyer lead UF as well.
Kelly has played weaker schedules than Miles. He has now lost to Navy twice in 7 years, after ND had lost to Navy twice in the 46 years before he was hired. Even Faust, Davie and Willingham never lost to Navy.
And is anybody going to claim LSU is equal to ND in football tradition?

Some people were discussing this as a possible move if you can believe it or not.

Well we didn't, so there's that.

He's made ND better than they've been in a long long time. Hell, he made a title game with them.
Much harder to recruit to ND with academic restrictions. I think he's a damn good coach.

Would be like TCU hiring Trent Johnson "away" from Lsu

By pretty much any rational evidence he's the tallest midget in the room when it comes to ND's last 4 coaches.
Seriously, how long would MSU retain a coach who was a slight upgrade over John L Smith and Bobby Williams?

I've heard Miles' name floated as a candidate for the ND job more than I've heard Kelly floated for LSU.
In which case, the same logic applies in reverse. Why would ND fire Kelly to hire Miles?

George he is about to be 4-8 that will never fly here. He also killed a kid. LSU pressure would eat him alive

Miles would have dipped below .500 in SEC play over the last 4 years if he finished out the season. That's horrible.
Notre Dame is an absolutely gutted program.. they aren't elite and until their academic standards are lowered they will never be elite again.
