Unless he retires, Crowton will be back at LSU.

the way I look at is this:

Miles is being or will be held accountable for the teams results..

The offense has sucked for 3 years in row, and that's being kind about it!

His luck will eventually wear out...we either start getting good, or Miles will eventually lose his support due to bad loses.

As I look back this year, LSU could easily be 7-5 this year. UNC, UF, and the UT games could easily be loses. WVU is another...but we won in spite of the offense

Miles needs help on the offensive side, Changing the leader of the offense makes this most sense
to me.

Change is good...lets everyone understand they are replaceable...keep them on their toes, coaches and players..

firegarycrowton.com? i think fans have much more power than the program would like to admit.

and if they wont fix the problem, and since firelesmiles.com is taken... taking donations to start: shitcanlesmiles.com

Do you believe Crowton will be back? There has been absolutely no indicator whatsoever that he will be gone, and there have been clues that he will return.

Well, we know nothing will happen before the bowl.

2nd, we know that Miles won't make a change unless he gets a "good fit"

Indications are that Miles is "looking" per Belowpar

I have no clue, only hope...I think the SEC has figured Crowton out...and thus we aren't very good..we are predicable-except in bowl games

"Clues" is a rather strong word. Crowton has said he expects to be back, but that doesn't really indicate anything to me. I'm sure Lincoln thought he would be president in 1866 before he got shot. And Miles has pretty much gone the route of "no comment" in his limited press conferences. Or " I don't want to talk about that right now" is pretty much what he said. So it seems to me that there have been no indicators as to whether he'll be back or not. All we know is that Miles has sought out a couple of potential replacments per Belowpar.

they do. if everyone bitches loudly, LSU brass gets the message. more importantly, if people use their wallets to voice their displeasure with whats going on- theyll learn pretty fast. LSU isnt ohio state or notre dame where when people stop donating/paying, next guy steps up and theres no difference to the higher-ups. the second the bottom line is in jeopardy, changes are made

I just don't think they "don't rock the boat" shite is a valid excuse. So we keep an inept OC who runs a shitty system because we might be able to make a NC run? Uhhhhh don't you think the same problems that have continued to plague his offense for years will pop up at some point and cost us a game anyway? Oh we have Mett now you say? Isn't GC's offense far too complicated for a first year guy to master anyway? frick me I'm depressed.

Pretty sure they are waiting for the bowl game to see what happens. Though I don't know why, the offense is putrid regardless of getting a month to prepare for a bowl game. Of course if LSU wins he will more than likely stay. Only way of getting enough pressure to force Miles to fire him is if they lose the bowl game.

I think the bowl game is irrelevant as to whether we get a new OC. The bowl game is Jan. 7th. Starting a search for an OC that late is not all that different from starting a head coaching search that late; there's not a lot to choose from unless you are going to get an NFL guy or someone unemployed. If Miles is thinking about getting a new OC, than he or someone within the athletic department will have already starting looking around.

this is really sad...our boys have worked to hard all year to get to this bowl game, and you know, some fans will be happy if we lose, thinking it will bring us a new OC...it shouldn't matter if we win/lose, Crowton should be gone...if Miles keeps him another year, screw him, his loyalty to a staff member should never compromise the young men that work hard every day to win on Sat. night...his job as HC is to give them every opportunity to win, through training, practice, and most importantly, COACHING!

Not going to argue with you there Tim. I am not hoping they lose just to get rid of Crowton. Only saying it might put more pressure on Miles to get rid of him. Also if Miles keeps him and the offense continues to fall in bottom 20 of all div 1 teams then yes screw Miles and Crowton and fire them both next season. BTW I have been wanting to get rid of Crowton for quite a while now.

Just heard from Belowpar... Crowton on the way out...

Oh wait, that is what he said a year ago. You idiots who worship him need to calm down. He was 100% wrong last year so why you would value anything he tells you is beyond me.

I got that, I didn't think you were saying that...my point is that some people will want our team to lose in hope that it gives him a reason to fire Crowton...he has a reason to get rid of him...let's just hope he has plans and is keeping quiet...

This may be the case with some short-sighted folks.

Just like a 10 win season is enough to keep Crowton for other short-sighted people.

The truth lies that the offense is and has been the weak point of the team. Is that QB? Perhaps. Is that Crowton? Perhaps.

But Crowton has a long track-record of the same type of ineptitude the longer he's in a role. The QBs only have 3 years under said OC.

Crowton's QB coaching is horrendous, we all agree...we can't blame "not having a QB" as the issue...Mett will not save this team, he still needs coaching...When Mike Leach was coaching TT, he could have a Sr. QB or a Fr. QB., they still gained 500 yds. a game...it's all about coaching and if Miles can't see this, he truly is an idiot...Let's just hope we are all wrong and Miles already has his guy, that can be our only hope...
