Yes, I know where he is now but his last championship was at Southern Miss....If we have to reach that deep and take a chance we should get an OC and roll a couple years with O....If that doesn't work we see where Fedora is by then at NC...

I didn't know Fedora was at USM. I thought he was at UNC for the last four years.

Won a championship at So Miss and it got him the NC job..So Miss brought in Ellis Johnson and went 0-12 and got fired. Enter Todd Monken, turned the program back around and left and they are down again.

He's setting record at unc. He went undefeated in conference play soon after coming off sanctions and lost by 5 to the #1 team in ACC title game. He's done very well at both coaching destinations.. He's won more at unc than anyone has ever done there. Or at least in recent history

first guy with a 10 win season in over 20 years at both programs.

he's a distant 3rd on my list, but to say he hasn't been more successful than his schools should be is being disingenuous.

This is so freaking dumb. So I guess we couldn't hire Jim Harbaugh if he wanted to come here because Les once coached at Michigan?

Not that I want Fedora at all, but not because he used to coach at the same school as a guy we fired over 20 years ago.

Nope. No one's mentioned it yet. It's been entirely lost on this crowd.

Say, you seem like a well-informed guy. Do you happen to know, by chance, who the largest baby ever born in Louisiana was? It's a question that's been on my mind all day. TIA.

Fedora isn't the most exciting name, but he has done solid work at UNC. They were a dumpster fire when he got there. Under sanctions with a couple of major scandals just in the rear view at a hoops school with no consistent history of winning in football. He got them back on track and competing in the ACC quickly.

Ah...just think if the Tiger Rant was around in 2000.

Nick Saban? Nick Saban!!! He's only had 3 (barely) winning seasons at Michigan St. He's never won a bowl game! That includes getting crushed by that bum, Gerry Dinardo. Just a meh coach. Give me someone better!

or in full force in 2004

"Wait a minute. We just hired a guy from Oklahoma St.? This program just won a national title and the best we could do is some goober whose only claim to fame is that he was able to upset Oklahoma twice. My God! Well, it was nice while it lasted. I guess it's back to the Dinardo/Hallman doldrums. Do coaches not realize this is LSU we are talking about?!!!"

Yes Les left on a poor note, but those two guys are two of the best coaches EVER at LSU. Both had just had average success at second tier programs prior to coming to LSU. If the fans were allowed a say, neither would have been the HC at LSU.

I'm not saying that it's a definite that Larry Fedora would come in and become, or maybe best, Saban's and Miles' success at LSU. However, he's been as good, or maybe even better at his prior coaching stops than Miles or Saban were at their's prior to coming to LSU.

Fedora might be good.
Gundy might be the guy.
Jimbo might have already blown his ....wad..

It's a lot of mights....is it worth 6 million a year?
