I've never dropped by this board before, so I haven't been following any of this stuff too much, but I had thought that it was pretty certain that Miles would get Chavis for a DC--not that I have any idea if this was correct or not.

Can anybody summarize what evidence there is out there that Chavis will or won't come to LSU?

He's had an offer from Clemson for two weeks and has yet to accept it.

Kinda telling...

I don't want Chavis. My Christmas wish list:
D-line:coach O
LB: Willis
DB: Raymond
DC: Walker

That being said, Chavis is an upgrade,.

There is no evidence either way. Just speculation.

Clemson website moderators say he is leading candidate, but just that Clemson's new head coach didn't want to announce new coordinator before bowl game. Chavis did apparently go back for a second visit to Clemson with his wife...that might be "kinda telling..." as well.
