i really don't give a shite, but a lot of former players (and more importantly, the administration) despise the guy over this.
That's just ridiculous.
He said that "borderline guys" (poorly educated) were given easy courses and then had a tough time getting jobs. It's not a ringing endorsement, but I wouldn't say it was scathing, either.
I'm sorry, but I really disagree with the way Michigan must view itself.

I think a decent amount of it is flagellation over the massive corruption of the basketball program during the "Fab Five" era, when there were FedEx packages full of thousands of dollars being sent to players.

Neither Jamie Morris nor Mike Hart can or should speak for UM on this matter. They were interviewed on the subject and their comments duly reported, but they have no idea what Bo would think.
Bo was a great defender of Michigan, so he probably would not have been happy. But Bo also loved Jim Harbaugh, backed him to the hilt time and time again.
What I am sure Bo would not have done, is deal with Jim Harbaugh in public, as Hart and Morris did. Bo would have called, he might even have gone to see him. I can envision Bo cuffing him upside the head and asking him what the He-- he was doing. They would have yelled back and forth at one another and then shook hands.
Harbaugh would have said he was sorry publicly and Bo would have acknowledged that the still wet behind the ears coach had a lot to learn, but would be a great coach someday. End of story!!!
Harbaugh is really mad at Lloyd, who hired Scott Loeffler over him as QB coach. A third teamer at Mich. Loeffler never saw any action that I can remember. But he is the QB coach over an all Big Ten QB, who actually had a winning record vs. OSU and took the SD Chargers within a play of the Super Bowl. But Lloyd likes his friends, and not guys with strong personalities and opinions. Harbaugh was rebuffed and he has never forgiven Lloyd. That is where the animosity originates.

Seems Michigan is following the Alabama plan for tearing down a proud program.

Well he learned from is dad, Bo, and Iron Mike.
Pretty good teachers.

To this day, Harbaugh insists he is not nearly as good a coach as his father, who, along with Ditka and Schembechler, are mentioned most often as Jim's football role models. Jim distinctly recalls a private moment in Schembechler's office after he had led Michigan to a 1985 victory over Ohio State.

What Harbaugh said was lame. As a long time Mich fan he isnt on my "high" list atm.
BTW you should remove the Ferentz thing...every brd I have been reading indicates it wont be him. Present target right now appears to be Schiano(sp).
One Lesser name coach I wouldnt mind is Petterson from Boise, or even Mike Singletary. Man thay dudes stare cuts thru folks. The kids would be afraid to make mistakes, then have to go to the sideline for the "stare"

Schiano is probably not going to leave Rutgers until / unless the Penn State job is offered to him.
He's building a new house, Rutgers has given him very good football facilities to work with and the school starts with a stadium expansion after next season.
I think very highly of coach Schiano, but I don't see him going to Michigan.
