It is virtually impossible to tell your team before they find out from the internet. People always complain bout how coaches tell their old team about accepting a new job. There is no "good" way to do it. People will always say whoever was an a-hole for how he informed the team. This isn't the 80s anymore when you can keep the leaks at bay and have time to schedule a team meeting with your old team. Everything moves at light speed. It's just part of doing business in college football.
