At this point, why not for one year?

We aren't there yet, but it's getting close to being a very embarrassing situation nationally which regardless of the hire, could set our recruiting back years.

Ed solidifies recruiting and Brick staying gives us a small look of stability.

I find it very unlikely Ed would come here and have Brick as his boss. Sorry, but that just is NOT happening. Guy was a head coach with a winning record at USC.

Look at it any way you like, this process is a black eye for LSU with the way no I e wants to work with Miles. Deep down you all know that's the case.

You must not have been a fan in 2008, or you were just awakened from a cryogenic sleep?

08, good or bad, has nothing to do with today's situation and climate around Miles.

Coaches know and can see the truth. They see Miles and co run a below average offense in the strongest conference in football. I hope to God I'm wrong, but this seems to be the beginning of the end for Miles. So why would a DC attach himself to that short term situation it APPEARS to be. Appearance is everything in a situation like this.

Ah yes, and then the defense could practice against the run on Mon, Wed and Fri and the pass on Tue and Thur. That wouldn't be disfunctional.

If he attempts the co-DC thing again I'm pretty confident I won't be able to watch this team next season

For CP or someone of his stature, sure. But with Brick as his boss? C'mon man, I think you know better.

I'm not sure that sudden "USC interest" story wasn't someone doing O a favor and raising his stock.

I do believe he wants to be at LSU, but not at any cost which humiliated him.

I am sure he would rather not be under Haley, but he would be close to home. He said he always wanted to coach at LSU. I believe he has another kid that will still be in high school next year.

There are a lot of factors. If he gets paid 500,000 dollars to position coach and recruit, that is a lot of coin.

Not holding out much hope on any front though. We should all just relax and wait.

If he's a position coach, he's "under" the DC no matter what. He said he's willing to be a position coach. Why is everyone so certain he has a problem with Haley?

Yes. O will call the defenses on running plays and Brick will call them on passing plays.

I couldn't care less who calls what. At this point, I'm worried about recruiting. and unless we find a homerun hire, it'll be a shitshow anyway.
