Wow, I don't care what any source says, that video tells a lot.

it was in the Advocate online the other day
he basically said Les has a great contract as it is
A) I think that was before Rich Rod was offically fired he said that and
B) saying
quote:
Les is still under contract. He still has four years left on it and has a great contract.”
is not the same as denying him a new contract.

I agree. It's now or never for Les Miles and Michigan.
Michigan hasn't "officially" contacted LSU, but a friend of Miles has been contacted by a friend of Michigan. You can believe that. It's all about plausible deniability, and they are all walking on eggshells.
My guess is LM is gone unless negotiations break down.

you're exactly right.
the coaching/agent business is barely a step above used car salesmen

If he says yes or no, he loses negotiating power. It is the American way. I want him back but if he leaves LSU will move on and hopefully hire a quality coach.

It tells nothing except that negotiations are just underway.

That expression on his face.....it answered the question....Even though he has pulled some game day blunders, I will miss Les Miles... the honest and caring man that he is. Large on character and integrity. He's a Michigan man who loves his home school. I applaud you Les Miles. You will be missed. Wish the Tiger faithful would have treated better. Best of luck until we meet again.

Thanks for 6 successful and exciting years. We all wish you well at MI.

Miles will get at least 4 years due to the cluster he is going into at MI plus he is a MI guy.

Thanks for everything you've done for LSU, Les. I apologize for being such a douche last night. I really wish you could stay now

Les can turn them around faster than people think. They were 7-6 this season with almost no defense. They'll be about the same next year if Les goes and tailors the offense to the talent he has there.
It's not like the Big Ten is such a deep conference talent-wise.
Kids at UM will buy into him too and play more motivated. Tons of players had given up on Rich Rod.

Everybody needs to realize it's one of two things:
He is leaving
OR
He is milking a new contract
OR
He is waiting to hear exactly what Michigan is going to offer.
All else being equal, he may choose Michigan. But, if Michigan can't/won't match his salary, then things could be different.

We can hold a vigil outside or something to show him support, to demonstrate we want him to stay.
Posted on 1/8/11 at 7:41 pm to Sir Barkevious
He can't answer it yes or no. Michigan is a possibility for him so he can't say yes. He can't say no, because no contract is in place. The honest answer is either maybe, probably, or i don't know.

No. They gave up more points this year than the basketball team will. He will need four years.
