Have fun with Brady Hoke

He is winning at Ball State...

Don't be surprised if he's hired at Michigan and does pretty well. I'm pretty sure everyone laughed when Ohio State hired a coach from Youngstown State.

I'm not sure I would call one 7-5 season and four losing seasons winning.

Miles was talking to Michigan about the Job. The Problem is the LSU deal was better. If Michigan would have offered him a similar package he'd be coming to Michigan. He did Michigan and himself a favor by saying he was assisting them in their search

You're "assuming" they're absolute morons...
But that's really just another example of something you really don't know!

I can think of at least a dozen different "completely logical" ways that the Miles/Michigan conversation could have transpired.

Some, maybe even most of those involve "Miles discussing the job" to some degree or another....but certainly, NOT ALL!

The fact remains that neither you or I are privileged to what was actually said...

So while you're certainly entitled to your opinion and assumptions about what was said...

Calling anyone that doesn't share your opinion an "absolute moron" strikes me as a bit of a stretch!

Shouldn't you be busy learning to spell, or playing in the snow, or getting bent over by Tressel and the Buckeyes again?

Of course he was talking to them about the job. What we don't know is whether Michigan call to offer or whether they called to "apologize" for the media mess partly created by Michigan's clumsy handling of the situation.

But Miles' statement was perfectly appropriate in either case. There was no need for Miles to embarass Michigan if he turned the job down by disclosing that he declined any offer. There was no reason for Miles to embarass himself or for Michigan to embarass Miles if they were calling to say that Michigan wasn't going to pursue Miles. It was simply a courteous and appropriate way of disposing of the rumors and they most likely did talk about Miles' views on who good candidates might be.
