re: Does the way EVERYTHING Lane Kiffin said today leaned toward an exit seem odd?

If you have watched any of his press conferences in the past, he’s always awkward as frick. Even when he’s clearly in a good mood.
Hard to read too much into it considering he’s probably being advised to not engage in questions about his future.
That being said, he gone.

Same.
I do think that his gut is telling him LSU, but also that he really does love his team at Ole Miss and that he appreciates Ole Miss giving him a second chance in major college football.
I suspect he just feels in his heart that Ole Miss’s ceiling is below “championship.” And that he wishes it weren’t.
(I’m not endorsing those feelings, though he obviously knows Ole Miss’s ceiling way better than I do… but all the word is that Ole Miss is matching everyone’s financial commitments. And to me, there is no such thing as a hard limit on a program in the SEC.)

If you do not think her opinion matters, why did he send her to look at Baton Rouge and Gainesville?

I do not see a conspiracy. I see a guy torn in which direction to go, or at least trying to confirm in his mind he chose correct.

That's a fair assessment in my opinion. We shall see

Layla will be a stronger advisor then Sexton and I thnk she liked Bator Rouge.
She might've liked Baton Rouge but she loves Florida. Not really a positive there.
