I have a friend who was traveling to Atlanta this afternoon with 2 other guys. One of the guys in the car is friends with one of the LSU kickers. This particular kicker sent him a text message that Miles had announced to the team that the SECCG would be his last as LSU coach. The meeting was last night.

Don't talke to any current players, but I hope it's true.

Is your wife's boss a computer guy?

He is indeed. Sounds like you know who told me the story.

OK guys, Do not freaking Text call or ask any current LSU player about this BS unless you going to the GD UT board next year. They have a freaking championship game tomorrow, you can ask them Sunday.
WE bitch about the distractions and then add to them. I know everybody wants to know this but we will Sunday or Tuesday at the latest. Geeze guys.
Come on, they have a big game tomorrow. Just crap is not helping.

Not unless he can rewind time and blow out Arky too.
An SEC Championship (at the least) was expected from this team. He won't get a mulligan or any extra credit from winning tomorrow.
He can't win. If LSU wins, it was expected. If we lose, well....

I personally like the guy. Quality family man. Loves his players. Definite players' coach. Something always seemed not to be quite the right fit though. I thank him for his successes and wish him good luck. Maybe we can get a home and home with Michigan? That would be a sweet trip!

Oh boy! Can anybody play? Here's my shot at it:
MILES: Guys, I can't tell you how much I love you guys and love this team.
PLAYER 1: We love you too coach. With all the stuff we've been hearing, some of us want to ask you something:
PLAYER 2: Please tell us you'll stay with us and coach us next year.
MILES: ER, you're a quality bunch of guys.
PLAYER 3: And you're a qualtity coach. Are you leaving us?
MILES: Yep, a capable team indeed.
PLAYER 4: Will you be part of this capable team next year? We keep hearing about Michigan.
MILES: Well, I do intend to make some sincere contact with Big Blue Sunday or Monday.

well if this is the case and he has in fact told the team I am guessing this means the story will come out tomorrow some time

The only thing that would surprise me more would be a monkey crawling out of my anus. Cause I sure as hell didn't eat any monkey.
This team hasn't shown up ready to play since Va. Tech.

even if michigan doesn't hire him, lsu needs to remove miles asap.

My daughter is a senior at LSU and one of her friends dates a starter on the offensive line and he said that they did have a meeting, Miles did tell them he's gone and they all seemed relieved.

Now this I really beleive.
I talked to a current player last week (senior) and he said that he liked Miles personally, but that the team as a whole was frustrated with his alliances to certain "special" players. Many on the team feel like some who should be getting PT aren't only because of Miles's loyalties.

This kid ( starting offensive lineman ) also stated that if Nick returned that he would not play for him and would request a transfer.
Now for this twist, it seems Miles' wife has really grown to like it in Baton Rouge and it has been a difficult thing to absorb.

I don't think any of the "damage" is Miles' fault. He could not control the Michigan job becoming available. He has won at least 10+ games in each of his three seasons here. He has been good for LSU. You never know what could happen with a new coach coming in...Miles staying could prove to be the best thing for LSU. We may never know.
exactly, things have not gone in LSU's favor for the Hardware, but we could be like Nebraska and fire a coach that has a great season.... how did that work out?

Funny someone had the same story last night and it was supposed to "come out today".
Yesterday;s story says that he told them yesterday, today's story tells that he told them today.
