I know he doesn't have much DC experience, but I love his "Muschamp-esque" attitude and Michigan's Defense wasn't bad when he was there. There offense couldn't score at all. Plus he is a great recruiter.

Maybe not this year...but sometime down the road I would like him on the staff if not taking over the DC job.

What do ya'll think?

He lost his job at Michigan because spread offenses raped his defenses over and over again with no adjustment.

NO.

So he played 2 solid teams and lost to both and gave up an average of 36 points doing it.

the guy is also trying to make it seem like he was there or one year 2006-2007. He was there for 2, 2006 AND 2007.

Gave up 32 to Appy State in a loss, 39 in a raping to Oregon, 37 to Wisconsin and 35 to Florida in 2007.

I'm not necessarily talking about the DC job, talking about hired on staff. And Louisville's talent pool is garbage and he didn't recruit any of those players.

The majority of teams would have lost to Oregon and Florida pretty bad. Appy and Wisconsin were two bad losses. ONCE AGAIN...ON STAFF FOR LINEBACKERS COACH/SECONDARY...NOT NECESSARILY DC...First 2 years at DC he lost two bad games and 4 more that were against very quality teams in Ohio State, USC, Oregon and Florida. Just bringing up someone else because I'm tired of talking about Chavis/Orgeron. I think he is a quality coach and great recruiter.

Although, I think he will make a very good DC sometime soon.

I really like Ron English. His career has gotten sidetracked, a little, but I have always been impressed with him as a person, a recruiter and a coach. He has position coached every defensive group, as well as coordinated, and certainly seems loyal (he passed on an NFL job to stay with Lloyd Carr.)
