If Crowton and Stud are truly out recruiting, then it would make sense for "high up sources" to insist to DD that they are returning.
In my opinion, there is NO way you can bring those guys back - not after this year's dismal offensive performance.
I think it's just smoke and mirrors for recruits reading DD's page.
It might also be to keep these two guys performing for the bowl game - but that might be a stretch.

so you think a good recruiting strategy is to lie to your recruits about who their coaches will be? this is just like the supersecret offense that we would see when the SEC started. occam's razor people. if there are lots of rumors saying those guys are returning, then chances are they are returning.
