More on Dan Quinn: After spending several hours on Zoom with the #Cowboys brass over the weekend, he’s on a flight to Dallas to meet in person now. Quinn is the top candidate for the #Cowboys DC job, and a deal could come today, source says.

Former #Falcons coach Dan Quinn spent Saturday interviewing for the vacant #Cowboys defensive coordinator job, source says. He joins #Falcons secondary coach Joe Whitt and #Panthers defensive passing game coordinator Jason Simmons as the three known candidates.

Guessing Texas will ratchet up the heat on Golding or Arnett now for their DC position.

I still don't see why they don't keep Ash.

So there is no one else? Not what LSU looking for their next DC?

Because it is obvious Sarkisian doesn't want him.

Seriously though, it appears Sark is primarily going after people he has a personal connection/history with for his staff, which is not unheard of or outside the norm for HC's moving into a new position.

Orgeron should do the same!

I'm sure there are other possibilities; but these are the 2 that were most mentioned outside of Quinn.

Golding, according to some other sites, is the one garnering the most attention and makes sense as he and Sark have coached together the past 2 years, he is a good recruiter, and he has recruiting ties to La. Joseph gives them ties to NOLA to recruit, while Golding gives them the Northshore and N. La. ties.

Sark's presence in Austin, with the staff he is building, will be a recruiting pain in the arse to LSU for at least a couple of years and then longer depending on his level of success on the field.

Should do the same, what? Go after Ash or after people he has a personal connection/history with?

If it is the latter, then I can tell you that is not what most LSU fans want. O has already shown that when he goes with the comfortable hire of getting people he knows personally or has ties to, it doesn't always work out for the best.
