He is a solid hire. Not perfect, but with LSU's talent, he has a great chance of transforming us to a strong offense.
Screw the drama.
Screw Kiffin letting the universe know he would take any FBS position over coming to LSU.

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if O has a deal with him that if he doesn't get a HC job, he will be at LSU. By the championship game.

Very, Very minimal impact over the long term. At this point, get the guy that you covet the most.

I don't doubt Canada wouldn't be a solid hire, but Pitt's offense is ranked in the 40s and NC State's offense was in the 50s last year.
It's not like this guy is revolutionizing offense.
