Actually, that would be a great hire for them.

Tuberville would do great at USF. They have access to a TON of talent in their backyard and Tubby can coach talent with the best of them. He just doesn't recruit very well, but will not have to nearly as hard now. Doesn't USF have lower admission standards also than the other Florida schools?

much better fit for him than TT imo. He knows
South Florida and will fit in better than in terms of philosophy. Best hire USF can make imo.

a good hire but would not happen is leach, the athleticism nd speed of athletics in florida would help him out greatly

I'd rather recruit South Florida than Lubbock. I've heard people say that USF is a sleeping giant in the Big East.

if tubberville gets back into coaching i think this would be the ideal place to do it. great recruiting base in florida and the school is capable of attracting out of state talent as well. lot's of other reasons while i think it's a good fit for him. getting out of the pressure cooker that is the SEC, going to school that would embrace him and he doesn't have to beat bama, uga and lsu to sleep at night. doubt they have developed as many "nagging rich alumni" yet. he is a very good coach and has proved it over a long period of time. in the big east, he can be a big fish w/o the inherent pressure and publicity that accompanies the sec.
